From my conmadres: “Well, yes, I agree with everything she says, but she can’t win.”
Meaning, “I’m not going to support her, send her money, talk about her campaign.”
I press on asking ‘why’. And the answer I invariably get is that she will not make it as she is outside the system.
First off, let’s backup, if you are outside the United States, you may not be aware of Marianne Williamson. If you are inside the United States, you may not be aware of Marianne Williamson as she has been blackballed by media (Dean Phillips got into the race and two days later, he was already on Meet the Press and NBC News.) Marianne has had to pay for all her media even though her polling numbers within the Democratic party are at 11%!
She is outside the system, and she represents a completely new way of thinking and acting.
From Marianne’s campaign:
“We’re serious about medical debt, serious about poverty, serious about millions of American struggling to make it in a rigged economy, and more. We offer the deepest analysis and boldest solutions to the serious challenges that confront us as a country. And at a moment like this, each of us needs to be serious enough to think deeply about what that means.”
My partner lost his masonry job because his hips fell apart. He lost his insurance and had to fight to finally get insurance so that he could get the surgeries he needed. And then he lost the insurance because he cannot pay the premiums without a job. And he can’t get a job without medical assistance. And he owes thousands of dollars.
The system is broke.
I left my broken marriages thinking I would be fine as I am hard-working, honest and have a college degree. I’ve been looking for a job for almost three years. In the last five months, I have applied to over 170 jobs that I am qualified for. I have had about three interviews and no job offers. I am not sure why our employment rate is 3.8% as the only jobs out there for me are ones that I can not possibly support my household with. I had to speak to three people, two of whom I had to ‘recover’ from the phone call, before I could get approved for Food Stamp assistance. I have been living on my IRA’s, and they are almost gone. I have not had health insurance for years.
The system is broke.
We wake up to more men killing more people for power and revenge. The public is horrified but the brutal truth is that brutal killing goes on all over the planet every day in so many places. This one counts because it is in the ‘civilized’ world and because these men hold so much power and resources, it may lead to World War III.
The system is broke.
We cannot fix the system by hiring ‘within’. We women are 51% and if we come together, we can win. We can change the world. It is time.
And what would you think of yourself if you did not even try?
Support Marianne Williamson’s campaign. Send money if you can. Send money if you cannot. Talk about it. Post about it.
In my opinion, she Is the Divine Feminine’s Choice.
The below poem was in my inbox earlier from Trista Hendren of the Girl God also a contributor to FAR and a commadre doing wonderful work. (Reprinted with permission.) I recommend signing up for her newsletter.
“I will not
dance to your war
drum. I will
not lend my soul nor
my bones to your war
drum. I will
not dance to your
beating. I know that beat.
It is lifeless. I know
intimately that skin
you are hitting. It
was alive once
hunted stolen
stretched. I will
not dance to your drummed
up war. I will not pop
spin beak for you. I
will not hate for you or
even hate you. I will
not kill for you. Especially
I will not die
for you. I will not mourn
the dead with murder nor
suicide. I will not side
with you nor dance to bombs
because everyone else is
dancing. Everyone can be
wrong. Life is a right not
collateral or casual. I
will not forget where
I come from. I
will craft my own drum. Gather my beloved
near and our chanting
will be dancing. Our
humming will be drumming. I
will not be played. I
will not lend my name
nor my rhythm to your
beat. I will dance
and resist and dance and
persist and dance. This heartbeat is louder than
death. Your war drum ain’t
louder than this breath.

Marianne Williamson must win for the exact reason that she is outside of the system.
And you and I can make that happen.

Just wanting to add that she was at 11% at time of writing this. She is now at 16%. The TOP contender behind Biden amongst democrats. Just for a minute consider her winning. What a world we could make. And don’t for a minute hold her to a different standard than you do male politicians.

I heard her interview on the John Fugelsang show and she knocked it out of the park. He’s been talking up Biden this whole time, but agreed with everything she said! Her interview with Mehdi Hasan (before he was fired) is perfect. Yes, I’d love to see her kicking ass in the White House.

I have never heard of her… sadly. But I do not listen to the news either – I am so horrified by the violence corruption war mongering the state of the earth etc – feel suicidal when I do – the problem is she is outside the system – Hillary Clinton couldn’t win inside the system… so what are this woman’s chances with so many patriarchal women making up that 51 percent?

Sara, I do hope you check out what she has to say. It is a breath of fresh air in a political sea of insanity. Listening today to her talk with Dr. Gabor Mate about Politics as Medicine. What a concept that is! The thought that perhaps living in a dysfunctional patriarchal culture dominated by greed, capitalism and selfishness could lead to people being sick. Was just speaking with my partner today ruminating on how our lives would have been different if so much stress had not and did not go into getting food on our table and keeping a roof over our heads.
If those of us who agree with what she says do not speak up, then her chances are nil.
But if we started speaking up, we could change the world.
That’s my opinion, and I’m sticking with it. ;)

I have been speaking up most of my life and have witnessed the ongoing destruction- of course I agree that we could change the trajectory we are on but we won’t… this story will play out -like it or not – it’s already too late for the planet – we cannot go back – we must muster courage to go on – facing the unknown drives us back into a past where our earth was not burdened with 8 plus billion people many who are starving and without resources to cope – I cannot escape these truths – my problem my bias perhaps –

Marianne Williamson – A Woman`s Worth. A book that is a must read. MUST READ! Empowerment, moving forward in this human experience, and a female most worthy of what ever she chooses to acquire. And not one speck of that is political. It simply is facts. Prior to a few moments ago I had no clue that she was into political anything. However – women all women need to support her. Empowerment, forward motion, forward thinking, equality, passionate about women, etc. Marianne Williamson – ( A Woman`s Worth )

Which is exactly why we must all begin speaking of her. Can you imagine the world with her as President? Gives me chills.
