Marie Cartier has a Ph.D. in Religion with an emphasis on Women and Religion from Claremont Graduate University.  She is the author of the critically acclaimed book Baby, You Are My Religion: Women, Gay Bars, and Theology Before Stonewall (Routledge 2013). She is a senior lecturer in Gender and Women’s Studies and Queer Studies at California State University Northridge, and in Film Studies at Univ. of CA Irvine.

    Yesterday the rain stopped here, and the sun shone for a while. Which means people left their houses and enjoyed a walk. A young couple went by, the (presumed) father cuddling his baby in his left arm. The baby was wearing a pink pussy hat!


  6. Thanks, Marie. The pics picked me up today! I live too far away from a demo this year, but last year traveled to DC to be with as many like-minded women as possible!


  7. Now I want bumper stickers copied from most of the signs in the photos. Yippee!
